Mid-State Opportunity, Inc. was chartered as a private non-profit Community Action Agency in 1965 as a result of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Our goals are to provide opportunities for low-income people to work, receive education and training and the opportunity to live in decency and dignity. We offer case management services and a variety of programs to help us achieve these goals.
Mid-State operates programs in six northwest Mississippi counties including DeSoto, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate and Tunica.
Mid-State’s Board of Directors is made of up of 18 members representing the low-income sector, the private sector and the public sector. All counties are equally represented on the governing Board. |
